FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FAQ PROTOCOL

Q //Is binding an API key (BYOK) safe? Could it leak?

Completely safe. Your API key is stored only in your local encrypted Electron storage — every AI call goes directly from your machine to the official Google API, and our servers never touch or have access to your key. This tool also only generates text prompts, so token usage is small and typically stays within Google's free tier; if you do bind a paid key, we recommend setting a usage cap in your Google AI Studio / Google Cloud dashboard so that even if the key were ever leaked, the exposure is capped at the limit you set.

Q //Do you use my uploaded images or generated prompts for anything else, or to train AI?

No — never for training, and never sold. By default, all images and prompts are stored only on your local device and never uploaded to our servers, and the software doesn't collect or send back your usage content or activity logs in the background. The only exception: when you actively use an optional AI cloud feature (Director Engine fusion, Reverse Prompt, or AI Auto-sort) with your own Gemini API key, the specific content for that request is relayed through our servers to Google's Gemini API to generate the result, and is not stored afterward. We never use your content for training or any other purpose.

Q //Will I be automatically charged once the Early Access period ends?

No automatic charges of any kind. During the current Early Access (EA) period, we provide a shared test email you can log in with to try the full feature set for free (see the Pricing page for the current EA login details). This access will be closed once we've gathered enough EA feedback, at a time we'll decide as testing progresses, without individual notice. Once it ends, the app simply reverts to the free tier (AI features unavailable) — this isn't a charge of any kind. The system will never auto-charge you unless you actively purchase a paid plan yourself.

Q //How long can I use the free tier? Will features be completely locked?

The free tier has no time limit — most features remain free to use indefinitely. Only the AI-powered advanced features (such as Smart Auto-Sort and the Action Director engine) require a paid plan. Even without upgrading, you can still use it long-term as a full-featured manual tag library and prompt organizer.

Q //Can I cancel the Pro monthly plan anytime?

Yes, there's no lock-in period. You can cancel anytime from your account dashboard, and you won't be charged for the next billing cycle.

Q //What does "lifetime" mean for the Infinite plan? Will it still work after future updates?

Once purchased, it's yours to use long-term. Infinite members get access to all future updates and new features at no additional cost.

Q //How many devices can one license activate on? Do I need to repurchase if I get a new computer?

Each license can be active on up to 3 devices at the same time — switching to a new computer or reinstalling your OS doesn't require repurchasing. If you try to activate on a 4th device, the system automatically sends a confirmation email to the address used at purchase, listing your currently active devices; just select the old device to remove and the slot frees up immediately for the new one — no need to contact support, and it takes just a few minutes. This also protects your license: since activation only requires email verification, if your email were ever compromised, the confirmation email would still only reach your own inbox, preventing anyone else from hijacking your license.

Q //What payment methods do you support?

Payments are processed through Lemon Squeezy, supporting major credit/debit cards, PayPal, and other mainstream payment methods, handled under international secure transaction standards.

Q //Do I need an internet connection to use this?

Local features like tag management, backup/restore, and canvas assembly work without an internet connection. AI-powered features (prompt parsing, image reverse-prompt, smart auto-sort, the action director engine, etc.) require a connection to the AI provider, so you'll need to be online to use those.

Q //Which operating systems are supported? Are the hardware requirements demanding?

Currently only available on Windows (Windows 10/11) — macOS and Linux aren't supported yet. Hardware requirements are light; a standard everyday laptop runs it smoothly, since AI processing happens via cloud API calls rather than your GPU. The main requirement is a stable internet connection.

Q //Which AI models does this tool support?

Our built-in AI features (Reverse Prompt, Director Engine fusion, Smart Auto-Sort) currently run on Google's Gemini API only, using your own Gemini API key (BYOK). Separately, the natural-language prompts you export from the tool are written in a style that works well when pasted into other AI image/video generators — such as GPT-Image-2, Grok Imagine, or Midjourney's tag syntax — but those are used outside the app; the app itself does not call OpenAI's API directly.

Q //What if I don't have my own API key?

This tool uses a BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) model for its AI features — you'll need to apply for your own free Google Gemini API key (from Google AI Studio). It's a simple process, and as noted above, typical usage usually stays within the free tier at no extra cost.

Q //Can I get support if I run into a problem?

Yes — all support is currently handled personally by the developer. It's a solo operation, but we do our best to respond within a reasonable time.

Q //Is this made by an individual developer or a team?

It's currently developed and maintained by an independent solo developer.

Q //What if you stop maintaining this someday — will my purchased license become worthless?

This software runs on a local-first architecture — even if the service changes down the line, your already-installed client and its local features (tag management, backup/restore, canvas assembly, etc.) will keep working; they won't stop just because of the company's operating status. Only cloud-dependent services (account verification, AI connectivity) could be affected. In the event of a major service change, we'll do our best to notify users in advance, though we can't guarantee permanent availability of the service.

Q //Windows shows "Unknown publisher" when I run the installer — is that dangerous?

This is expected and not a sign of malware. As a solo indie developer, we haven't purchased a paid Windows code-signing certificate yet — any unsigned publisher starts with zero "reputation" in Microsoft's SmartScreen system regardless of how safe the software actually is. To continue, click "More info" and then "Run anyway." We plan to add code signing once the product has a more established track record.
